The Healing Fund for Japanese Canadians was established by the Anglican Church of Canada following the apology given by the Church in 2015 to survivors and their families for abuse committed by the former Anglican priest, Gordon Nakayama. The Fund provides financial support for counselling and education for survivors and their families as well as funding programs to bring health and healing to communities affected by his actions. This series of workshops is being offered to equip members of the Lethbridge and Coaldale communities with greater resources for health and healing.

Collect of Affirmation for the Parish
Creator, you made all people of every land. In the spirit of respect and truth, we acknowledge that we gather on the traditional land of the Blackfoot people, the home now also of the Metis and Indigenous people from many nations. We gather as your people responding to your call to welcome all your children, recognizing especially those who have often not received welcome because of their race, sexuality, gender identity, ability, or social standing. Give us grace to be a community where people who have often been marginalized my know that they belong and the dignity of all your children is honoured.

To accommodate those who wish or need to remain at a distance, we are offering services live on ZOOM. Those who wish to wear masks during services in person are encouraged to do so. If you would like to join by zoom, please contact the church for the link . Otherwise, we hope to see you in church!
